Diruktober Day 4: Lotus

Diruktober is a DIR EN GREY themed inktober challenge by re_be_ka_f. I chose to use them as writing prompts to join in on the fun.

Gilded lotus petals stretch and bloom towards the heavens.

The only sound, if one were to listen for it, is that of the almost still water in the midnight. The only thing breaking its surface remains the roots of the lotus, she whose roots own all.

She is touched by the whole of the lake who is grateful to be able to support her and present to the world the goddess that springs forth to dance on its surface in the darkness.

Her golden glow is further illuminated by fireflies acting as her limelight, audience of none but the trees.

The forest watched in silence, celebrating her dance by a gentle rustle of leaves.

Celebrated lotus who shines her light, we grow towards you.

But when your shine fades in the rising sun,

Will we blossom?

Or wither away with you?
