Diruktober Day 28: Uroboros

Diruktober is a DIR EN GREY themed inktober challenge by re_be_ka_f. I chose to use them as writing prompts to join in on the fun.

Concrete rubble was exceptionally aesthetically Brutalist. Most people found it uncomfortable or even disheartening. The rubble was a reminder that constantly loomed over us of the work that had to be done to rebuild,
and yet it didn't stop anyone from trying.
Over and over the human condition remains the same, and I wonder if people will imagine what it was like to be me when these events are written in our history.
Eternally, life is a cycle.
Just as prosperity, time, and the ability to be unbothered by death over a long period of exposure to its horrors were all cyclical.

It's the same reason we can sit finding anything we could hope to laugh about among gunfire and bombs with our morning tea. We had no choice. We especially had no choice to find a way to laugh here and there. Not finding ways to cope may have been worse than death itself when you found yourself seated across from a corpse so quickly taken that their teacup was still full in front of them.

Life is worth more than that.
